Newcleus Jam On It Download Mp3 Genre Techno Comment by XCristianX Positive Messengers members were all Christian, which led to them creating songs with a message. The group was formed originally as Positive Messengers following DJ shows in parks and blocks as Jam-On Productions. It was released in 1984 by Sunnyview Records. The group is primarily known for its 12-inch single 'Jam-Ons Revenge' (re-released as 'Jam on Revenge (The Wikki-Wikki Song)' (1983)) and 'Jam on It' (1984), which began as an anti-rap joke, according to founding member DJ and producer Ben Cenac. Jam on Revenge is a studio album by the American group Newcleus. My friends and I used to set up card board in my parents drive way and practice break dance moves to it for hours! Listening to it now I hear how ahead of it's time it was, with such cool 808 and 303 programming. Newcleus was an American electro and old school hip hop group that gained popularity in the early 1980s. My secret weapon for ADE 2016! This track really meant A LOT to me in 1984.

It differs from the album version by featuring a full verse by Chilly B and some additional bars from Cozmo D. Learned that from downloading a midi file, and trying to play along on my midi controller. The 12' single version of “Jam On It” by Newcleus clocks in at around 8 minutes. That gets me into trouble every time.Īn maybe its the best way to learn, If I overlook all my frustration, I learn so much from problems like this.Īlso rapper delight base line. I should stay away in LMMS, from music I like. It it works you will see a note patern like in our piano roll, but I could not get it working. I wish I knew this before I tried to install Sonic visualizer, although with some vamp plugins, that program might even give you the keys played. I can with audacity find the spacing of the notes ? Is the frequency ? I see waves with a more open structure. I understand enough from waves that the spikes are a sound ( or sounds), but how you can tell they have different velocity, is beyond me. Until those different velocity notes kick in, I can hear what going on, after that, I get totally confused timing wise.įrom you're answer though, it seem I need to study audacity more.
